“Oh house of Jacob, come and let us walk in the light of the Lord.” Isaiah 2:5
I have found that being intentional is such a powerful thing in my life. It is an internal and external posture of my heart. It means aligning my plans with God and trusting Him to establish my steps.
“In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path” Proverbs 3:6
It makes me have a more purposeful pursuit of God, and not the world. I’m not a church person, I’m a kingdom person.
“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:33
It means being a good steward of my time, talents and resources to glorify God.
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” Colossians 3:23-24
It’s always having an eternal perspective rather than being part of the worldly distractions. It means being consecrated to Him. David made a choice to keep God’s presence and will central in his life. This led to stability and confidence in the Lord’s protection. David had consecrated himself unto the service of the Lord. He was a vessel in the hands of the Lord!
“I have set the Lord continually before me.” Psalm 16:8
One other aspect is you fall in love with repentance. I find it to come quicker and is easier when I’m intentional. The last thing is, it makes me want to do whatever He tells me to do.
“His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever He tells you to do.” John 2:5
Whenever I am intentional, kingdom minded, being a good steward and quick to repent the results are immediate and oh so good!
