“Therefore be careful to observe them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the people who will hear all these statues, and say, surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.” Deuteronomy 4:6 

When I became a believer I surrendered all rights to Him on that day. If I truly surrendered to Him that means that I am no longer in control. It means that I’m not the one calling the shots. Whether a big or small decision I turn to Him for the answer. His wisdom is far superior to mine. When I feel that I have received the answer, then I move forward in obedience to what He has shown or told me to do. When I fully walk in surrender and obedience, what comes next is His wisdom on display. 

We are being watched by those around us every day. They are looking to see not only our decisions but also our attitudes in playing out those decisions. As I fully rely on Him for all of this the end result is a demonstration of His wisdom. As I walk in obedience and wisdom the Lord promises to then bless me. This blessing will be seen by those around me such as family, friends, neighbors and coworkers. They will desire to have that same blessing. They will come and seek counsel in making decisions in their own lives.

Before coming to the Lord and surrendering my life it was all about my own figuring it out. During that time my own knowledge and understanding was on display. True wisdom can only come from one place and that is through the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

“But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy.” James 3:17

Lord may my obedience truly demonstrate Your wisdom. As I am blessed may that blessing spill out, around and onto those that are seeing that demonstration.

“Wait on the Lord, and keep His way, and He shall exalt you to inherit the land.” Psalm 37:34
