“This is what the Lord Almighty says; in a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. I will shake all nations, and what is desired by all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory, says the Lord Almighty.” Haggai 2:6-9
“Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” And this expression, yet once more, denotes the removing of those things which can be shaken, as of created things, in order that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.” Hebrews 12:26-27
We are living in unprecedented times. All around us it seems like everything is being shaken. Physically we are seeing earthquakes happening daily around the world even in places where they’ve never had earthquakes before.
Geologists cannot explain why they’re taking place in these areas. The world is in such upheaval that it feels like there is shaking going on in the spirit realm as well. It’s an all out war as we are in the last days. Just when I think that it can’t get any worse it goes south even more.
But I am experiencing peace in the middle of this chaos and completely upside down world. I am stable. There is only one way and reason for me to experience this. It is God! I have totally surrendered to Him. Therefore He will keep me in perfect peace because my mind is stayed on Him. I cannot look at His face and have doubt at the same time. I am not going to bring Him down to my valley but I will go up to His mountain.
I cannot comprehend how those who do not know Him as their Lord and Savior are getting through each day. Without him there is no hope. I can stand in the truth, remain stable and let my light shine. I can bring hope and peace to those around me that I am coming in contact with every day. As the days get darker, I’m going to become brighter. I find such encouragement in this scripture found in Habakkuk.
“Though the fig tree should not blossom, and there be no fruit on the vines, though the yield of the olive should fail, and the fields produce no food, though the flock should be cut off from the fold, and there be no cattle in the stalls, yet
I will exalt in the Lord, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength and He has made my feet like hinds feet, and makes me walk on my high places.” Habakkuk 3:17-19
How about you? Are you stable?
