“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have

abundance for every good work.” 2 Corinthians 9:8

It started back on the first of January, 2022. I journal, so I was able to go back and see exactly when this started. Everywhere I went I was seeing and hearing the number five. Many times it was five, five, five. I would look at the time and it would be five fifty five at night. The Lord would wake me up at five fifty five in the morning. I saw five’s on license plates, billboards, my phone…….everywhere! 

For a while it drove me crazy and then I just started laughing out loud when I would see it. I know that numbers have meaning. When it continued to happen I began to take it seriously. I realized the Lord was speaking to me. I looked into what the number five means and this is what I found. 

The number five represents grace. Grace means undeserved favor from God.

It’s Him giving us the ability to do something which is humanly impossible for us to do. Favor (grace) is the good realized through faithful obedience to Him.

It’s a blessing that comes to us through obedience to the Spirit.

Favor is God’s tool for getting us to the places, people and purposes He has for our lives.

We get this favor by honoring God with our time, money, service and sacrifice.

It’s by keeping God as the priority. It’s being obedient, humble, honoring Him, serving Him and building Kingdom relationships.

Grace is the ability to hear His voice.

It also means abundance.

Well after finding all of this out, it really had my attention. To me it is no longer just the number five but the God of the universe communicating and speaking directly to me. He was sharing what He had been giving me over the last two years. What a gift! I recognized that everything the number five represented was taking place in my life as a confirmation to me. 

Numbers have meaning. God speaks through them.
