Gift of Faith

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6

I believe that everyone has been given a measure of faith as the Bible talks about here in Romans.

“God has allotted to each a measure of faith.” Romans 12:3

Here is one list of spiritual gifts given in scripture.

“For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, and to another the effecting of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another the distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues.” 1 Corinthians 12:8-10

I believe that I have been given the gift of faith. Here are some of the things that I have learned about my gift as I began to study, apply and walk in this gift.

I refuse to be dominated by my circumstances.

I have an unusual capacity to recognize in a given situation that which God intends to do and trust Him for it, until He brings it to pass.

I have a supernatural surge of confidence from the Holy Spirit when I face a specific need or situation. I feel that doubt is literally suspended and I know that something’s going to happen.

He always puts me in situations that are over my head to bring me a resource that is over my head. I don’t need the gift of faith unless I am put in situations such as these. I heard someone say the other day that no one wants to need a miracle, they only want to see one. You are in a really hard place when you need a miracle.

I have an unusual desire to know God in His fullest and to be cast on Him alone for all my problems. Situations where He is the only one that can help and that is because He is my only source.

I maintain an attitude that God not only can but will do something in a crisis situation believing without wavering that it is done.

How about you? If this is not something you can relate to then what is your gift? Are you studying, applying and walking in it to the fullest? If not, why not start today!

“I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.” Matthew 22:32
