We know this about His Word:

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1

“For the Word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12

“I suffer hardship even to imprisonment as a criminal; but the Word of God is not imprisoned.” 2 Timothy 2:9

 

“So shall my Word which goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me empty, without accomplishing

what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11 

From these scriptures we know that the Word is Him, it’s living, it will not return void and it cannot be imprisoned. His Words are the same yesterday, today and even for the future.

For me it speaks life for every occasion. It brings me revelation and understanding. It speaks to my very soul. It cannot be destroyed, silenced or taken from me. Whatever I am in need of, I just need to go to the Word, which is the source. I want it to be the very air that I breathe. 

When we come in contact with the Word we are coming in contact with Him. Brooke Westcott said, “The Word of God means a definite utterance of God.”

Run to the Word!! 

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39
